Determination of Povidone Iodine and Active Iodine

Povidone iodine is a widely used antiseptic solution, especially in hospitals, wound care applications.

It should be remembered that previously opened solutions may lose their antimicrobial properties after a certain time. It is even stated in some sources that bacterial growths are observed in such solutions.
