Sodium Laureth Sulfate (SLES) and Sodium Lauryl Sulfate (SLS) are used as foaming agents in shampoos to provide more foam. Paraben is also used as a preservative in many cosmetic products.
Recently, we have seen SLS free, SLES free, paraben free, especially in shampoo and liquid soaps.
According to the latest communiqué issued by the Ministry of Health, for companies that contain this information on their labels (SLS free, SLES free, Paraben free), companies must submit their analysis reports to the Ministry of Health. These reports should be obtained from a laboratory with Turkak accreditation.
Saniter Laboratory is the only laboratory accredited by Türkak for SLS, SLS and paraben analysis.
Cosmetic companies should obtain the analysis report for SLS free and similar expressions and submit it to the Ministry of Health.
