Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is used in many sectors such as cosmetics, food and medicine.
In foods that are sensitive to UV light, titanium dioxide is used to increase food shelf life and prevent spoilage.
Titanium dioxide has similar uses in non-food products. For example, in sunscreens, it protects against UVA / UVB rays from the sun by providing a physical barrier between the body and the rays. Also; It is used for bleaching in paint, plastic, ink, rubber and cosmetic products.
This mineral is now being investigated by the development of nanotechnology. The molecules inside can be controlled, changed to nanoparticles. Scientific research suggests that changing this mineral to a nanoparticle can be harmful to human health.
Titanium Dioxide analysis is performed in our laboratory.
