Titanium Dioxide (TiO2) is used in many sectors such as cosmetics, food and medicine. In foods that are sensitive to UV light, titanium dioxide is used to increase food shelf life and prevent spoilage.
Titanium dioxide has similar uses in non-food products. For example, in sunscreens, it provides such protection by establishing a physical barrier between the body and the rays against UVA / UVB rays from the sun. It is also used for whitening in paint, plastic, ink, rubber and cosmetic products.
This mineral is now being investigated by the development of nanotechnology. The molecules inside can be controlled, changed to nanoparticles. Scientific research suggests that changing this mineral to a nanoparticle can be harmful to human health.
Titanium Dioxide analysis is performed in our laboratory.
